  1. Support HTTP/2 on load balancers

Digital Ocean's new load balancers only support HTTP 1.1. The text protocol and lack of multiplexing in HTTP 1.1 means it's MUCH slower than HTTP/2.

One of the pages on our site loads in 600ms on nginx running HTTP/2, and 1.8s on HTTP 1.1. We'd love to be able to use DO Load Balancrs but the slowdown isn't worth it.

    • PROXY Protocol in Load Balancer

When using a TCP load balancer it would be still useful to know the the IP address the original address came from.

HAProxy has a PROXY protocol which is sent to the downstream server with IP information when a new client connects before sending proxying any data.

      • disk utilization for volumes

Currently the Graphs do not display disk utilization for attached volumes. This should be added.

        • Allow a user to be part of more than 10 teams.

We prefer our clients to pay for the hosting directly so currently do the following: set up a new account per client > create a team > assign client as the biller > add ourselves as members of the team. However we have more than 10 clients and at the moment we can only be assigned to 10 teams. The work around is to use a second email address and assign another 10 to that but it gets a little messy i.e. remembering which email is assigned to which client team. Thank you!

          • allow monitoring policies to be created for all droplets (rather than having to select droplets individually)

Currently, when you create a policy, you need to manually select the droplets it applies to.

For basic policies (disk nearly full, cpu over-used) I just want them to apply to all droplets - both current ones and future ones.

A simple checkbox 'apply to all droplets' would make it easier to create the policy, and would mean I didn't have to remember to add future droplets to my policies whenever I create them

            • Notify on low free space

When free space (at either an instance or SSD storage) becomes less than a user-specified value, the user should be notified by email that storage is low.

                • Give option for team admin to restrict Droplet creation/resizing/destroying capabilities of a member

Consider I want to manage billing of clients account.
I can create a team for him and give him privileges to manage dns and one or more specific droplets.
But since billing is from my creditcard, as a team admin I must be able to restrict certain privileges of a team member given below

                  >create new droplet
                  >destroy droplet
                  >resize droplet

                  • last_used_at parameter for image v2 api

                    HI,

Currently, my team and I are creating a lot of snapshot images on our Digital Ocean accounts. We would like to be responsible and write our own clean up automation so that we aren't wasting resources unnecessarily.

As such, we're looking at writing automation to clean up old, unused images. However, for us to identify those images in our team, we need to be able to view the last usage date for an image, which I've dubbed as a paramter 'last_used_at' following the naming convention of other parameters in the API.

Would it be possible to have parameter for…

                    • On Droplets view, please include which user created the droplet. (Applies to Team feature)

While viewing the droplets, it would be very helpful if we could see which account or user created that particular droplet.

                      • Add labels to floating ips

Allow us to label floating ips so we know what service/class of machine we need to point it to. For example, a person could enter a subdomain label, or short description of like "primary app server".

                        • Allow to create a team first

Payment details are required to create a team. Would be more practical to allow people to create teams first before anything else or sign up as a team.
An account usually created by an IT guy but billing handled by someone else, e.g. accounting. Who creates a new DO account doesn't supposed to know the billing details, especially the credit card details. People mostly not going to enter their private payment details (complete separation preferred).
So that one has to create a team first then add a member who enters the card details. Currently user can't create a team while…

                          • Display user ID in account header.

I have my own DO account and I also manage accounts for clients.

When you sign into your account there is no indication in the top header who you are or what account you are in.

This was further complicated by the fact that I have a habit of naming my droplets the same thing.

For example, I will often have "web-server", "git-server" and "build-server" for most client setups. So you can imaging the confusion when you log in about which account you are working on.

Its super annoying that everytime i spawn a new vm there are a lot of updates, these images are missing a lot of security updates and should really be updated periodically so when someone spawns a new droplet they don't have to spend 5-10 minutes waiting for it to update.

                                Hi,

Currently, our base OS images are updated periodically in order to pick up point releases a security fixes. For instance, our CentOS 7 image was updated just this week while our Ubuntu 14.04 and 12.04 images were updated last week. Though, we can definitely some room to improve both transparency around the process and the cadence.

                                Thanks for the feedback!

i would like to have this supported as an alternative to current 2-factor authentication

Duo supports Yubikeys and SMS/Phone confirmation as well
LastPass already uses Duo Security as one if its 2-factor methods

                                    • Team accounts with fine grain control

Continuing from http://digitalocean.uservoice.com/forums/136585-digitalocean/suggestions/3981054-allow-team-accounts, that is great for multiple developers.

However, I would like to set a billing contact from our finance department who is not a developer and I don't want to give access to anything but billing.

As well as that, I am sure there are other use cases were a team lead might want to do one of the following:
                                      - restrict access to certain servers to certain users
                                      - or have an infrastructure employee restrict dev servers to developers, staging servers to devs and testers, and then prod/live to minority of devs, for example

                                      Sum up: …

                                      • Add OnlyOffice to "One-Click Apps"

Guys, thank you very much for the "One-Click Apps" category, however would be great to expand it with other yet not well-known apps.
My suggestion is OnlyOffice - free cross-platform groupware: https://www.onlyoffice.com/open-source.aspx

                                        • Require two-factor authentication for Team Members

Allow the ability to specify that people who are invited to a Team are required to set up two-factor authentication as part of the registration process, or at least require they set it up before they are able to actually perform any actions on the Team's account.

                                            Hi Jay,

We just released some new features for Teams including the ability for Team Owners to see whether or not Members have two-factor authentication turned on or not.

Hopefully this helps facilitate making two-factor a standard for your teams.

Thank you for the great feedback. Please keep it coming.
